This case was built for the University of Utah. The case is designed to hold 30 iPad’s or small netbook computers in individual slots. The storage slots are wide enough to accommodate any aftermarket case including larger cases like the Otterbox. Each player on the team has a school provided iPad that needs a place to be secured and charged while the players are on the field. This case is designed to hold and charge any electronic peripheral each player may carry with them including cell phones, and laptops.

Each of the two charging sections have 24 outlet power strip that provides provides power to 15 compartments with removable dividers and a drawer. The drawer faces are cut short to allow larger items like laptops to be placed in the drawer to be charged and remain plugged in (see photo below). Each iPad compartment comes equipped with a numbered Apple 30 pin to USB cable which loops up to the power strip. Because each device used a separate power supply, the school only wanted to provide the cable and not the plug to allow any device to be charged.

The case lids feature shelves to allow small items like cell phones or ipods to charge. The shelves are mounted right below the power strips for easy cable access.

The exterior case is built from 3/8″ plywood laminated with red abs plastic and features 3.5″ casters and deep recessed handles.

Special thanks to the University of Utah!
