The Portable Video Director’s Trunk is ideal for the A/V person constantly on the go as it allows for a quick and easy set-up and tear down. The design is based around 2 active Mackie SRM350 speakers, a Shure SLX wireless system, a small Behringer mixer and a foam lined compartment for a projector. The design concept is based around traveling sports teams who need to quickly set up and tear down mobile presentation systems for game films.

The mixer, handheld microphone, lavalier beltpack, and mic stand clip are housed in a removable tray with a custom CNC cut foam insert. The removable tray concept works well in hectic set up and tear down scenarios, it allows a separate individual to set up the microphone and mixer while another team member sets up speakers and removes cables from the case. Because the tray has a custom slot for each item, it is easy to tell when an item is missing.

The wireless microphone receivers are housed in a 1RU removable rack shell constructed out of 1/2″ Baltic Birch plywood and coated with a rugged waterproof textured coating.

The case is constructed out of 3/8″ plywood and is outfitted with 3 1/2″ Colson casters.
